This beautiful little doll baby is super sweet and social. Gemma is a housebroken crate trained girl with lots of love to share. She sleeps all night in her crate without making a peep and after her early morning potty break likes to climb under the covers for a few more hours of snoozing and cuddling. She loves people of all ages and sizes but since she can have some puppy bounciness, she would do best in a home with older children. She walks well on a leash and gets along well with other dogs and cats, but has a particular fondness for large breed dogs. Go figure since she is such a peanut herself. While Gemma has outgrown her entropion and it is no longer and issue, Gemma does have KCS or chronic dry eye that will require an eyedrop schedule for the rest of her life. It is possible that sometime in the future she may need surgery for this but to date (5 months so far) we have been able to keep her corneas glossy and clear with just eyedrops and it is our hope that it will always be the case. Remember that owning a puppy is a full time commitment and you must have the time to commit to a dog who will be with you for 12-17 years. Beagle puppies are cute - but they are very challenging. Puppies may eat your apartment (no refund of security deposit); people who are gone for more than 5 hours at a time will need to make dog walker, neighbor or doggie daycare arrangements; and for families with very small children, puppies will chew toys, shoes, blankets and hands, feet and other important parts of your child's anatomy.
